Paul Anthony Haigh

Paul Anthony Haigh is a consultant at Nubis Communications since October 2022, specializing in advanced technology solutions. Previously, Paul served as a Development Engineer at Toshiba Research Europe Limited, where responsibilities included FPGA platform development for quantum key distribution products, integration of opto-electronic subsystems, and testbed development. At Newcastle University, Paul led the optical communications activities, expanding a research team and securing significant grant funding. As a senior research associate at the University of Bristol, research focused on re-configurable interfaces and digital signal processing. Paul has also held positions at UCL, where research contributed to a substantial EPSRC grant, and served as a visiting scholar at the Czech Technical University in Prague and as a Marie Curie Fellow at CERN, where Paul conducted laser characterization for high-energy physics experiments. Paul holds a PhD in Visible Light Communications and a BEng in Communications and Electronics Engineering, both from Northumbria University.
