Melissa Winesburg

Melissa Winesburg, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Programs at the IJIS Institute, a position held since November 2020. With extensive experience in criminal justice consulting, Melissa has been the President of MWA Enterprises, Inc. since 1997, where responsibilities include managing a firm focused on integrating technology with policy. Notable projects include leading evaluations for the Violence in the Schools Initiative and the Domestic Violence Needs Assessment, as well as implementing the National Webcheck Background Check System. Melissa holds a PhD in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, alongside a Master’s and a Bachelor’s in the same field.
