Emily Wilkinson

Emily Wilkinson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in clinical laboratory operations and project management within the biotechnology sector. Since October 2017, Emily has been serving as Senior Manager of Clinical Laboratory Operations at Illumina, where leadership is provided to the laboratory team, focusing on growth in line with Whole Genome Sequencing production demands. Previously, from November 2014 to September 2017, Emily held various roles at Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, culminating as Programme Manager for DNA Pipelines. Earlier career experiences at Abcam included Senior Manager of Downstream Production and multiple roles related to product development and manufacturing. Emily started as a Development Scientist at Cantab Biopharmaceuticals Ltd, focusing on purification strategies for therapeutic vaccines. Emily earned a degree in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry from the University of Nottingham between 1991 and 1994.
