Nate G.

Nate G. has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Nate started their career at the Glenview Park District, where they worked as an IT Support Technician from May 2014 to May 2016. Following that, they joined Blue Star Technology, LLC as a Junior System Engineer from May 2016 to March 2017. In this role, Nate provided tier 2 technical support to approximately 30 customers, supporting various systems and applications. Nate also worked on supporting customers within Blue Star's Hyper-V hosted VDI platform.

After Blue Star, Nate joined Prescient Solutions as an IT Consultant in March 2017. Nate was contracted full-time at Stratus in Rolling Meadows and worked on-site to fulfill Stratus' IT needs. As a technical lead, Nate was responsible for infrastructure solution engineering and played a key role in an AD Domain Merge project. Nate also handled senior network administration, VMware virtualization environment engineering, server administration, Linux server administration, and automation and scripting using PowerShell and Kaseya. Nate also led various projects, including MDT configuration and deployment, automated migration of Windows 7 to Windows 10 in Stratus' VMware Horizon VDI environment, and implementing network infrastructure configuration backups.

Currently, Nate is employed at iManage as a Site Reliability Engineer since January 2022.

Nate G. completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Geoinformatics from the University of Iowa in 2016. During their time there, they also pursued a minor in Computer Science. Prior to their university education, Nate attended John Hersey High School from 2008 to 2012. Nate obtained several certifications throughout their educational journey, including the CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in September 2021, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020, the Network+ certification from CompTIA in May 2012, and the A+ certification from CompTIA in May 2011.
