Mark Jafar joined the Company in June 2019 as Global Head of Corporate Communications, IMAX Corp. In this role Mr. Jafar oversees all communications and media relations for the Company, working across the company’s business and entertainment divisions. He also supports domestic and global efforts to communicate IMAX’s brand narrative, strategic partnerships, and more. Previously Mr. Jafar served as Vice President, Corporate Communications, at BuzzFeed where he led corporate communications and entertainment publicity for the company’s executives and across its numerous brands, technology and content arms, marketing functions and more. From 2006-2017, he held several communications leadership roles at Viacom including Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs at MTV. Mr. Jafar began his career at Robinson Lerer & Montgomery.
