Michiel Knoers has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Michiel started their career in 2010 at ING as a Risk Management Trainee and also worked as a CMRM Trading Quant Intern. In 2011, they joined IMC Trading as a Junior Quantitative Research Analyst and later moved up to become a Quantitative Research Analyst. Michiel then transitioned to the role of Derivatives Trading Lead and eventually became the Head of Trading. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Trading Officer at IMC Trading, starting in September 2022.
Michiel Knoers obtained a Master of Science degree in Financial Risk Management from Duisenberg School of Finance, which they attended from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, in 2009, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics & Astronomy at Radboud University. Additionally, Michiel Knoers holds a Certificate of Proficiency in English from Cambridge. Michiel has also received certifications in Series 24 and Series 56 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), though the exact timing of their completion is not specified.
