Adnan Shahid, PhD, SMIEEE has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering and artificial intelligence. Adnan is currently a Professor at Ghent University, starting in September 2023. Prior to this, they were the Principal Investigator at imec, where they led the "Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning for Wireless" group. Adnan also served as an Assistant Professor at Taif University and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Yonsei University. Adnan began their career as a Research Assistant at Sejong University and later worked as a Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department at NUCES-FAST Islamabad Campus.
Adnan Shahid, PhD, SMIEEE pursued their education in the field of engineering. From 2003 to 2006, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila. Subsequently, in 2008 and 2009, they pursued their Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the same institution. Finally, from 2012 to 2015, Adnan Shahid completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information and Communication Engineering at Sejong University.
