Christoph Adelmann has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and development. Christoph worked at imec as a Senior Researcher from 2006 to 2012, where they then became a Principal Member of Technical Staff until 2019. In 2019, they were promoted to Scientific Director at imec. Prior to imec, Christoph served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Minnesota's Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science from 2002 to 2005. Christoph began their career as a Research Associate at CEA from 1998 to 2002.
Christoph Adelman earned their Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 1998. Christoph then pursued further studies and obtained a Master's degree in Physics from Université Grenoble Alpes in 1997. Continuing their academic journey, Christoph completed their PhD in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from Université Grenoble Alpes in 2002. Lastly, they conducted postdoctoral research in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota from 2002 to 2005.
