Femke Ongenae is a Senior Researcher at imec since January 2020, focusing on fostering collaborations with societal and industrial partners through interdisciplinary projects. Concurrently, Femke serves as an Assistant Professor at Ghent University, where teaching revolves around Data Analytics for Health and Connected Care within the IDLab research group. Prior experience includes work as a postdoctoral researcher at Ghent University and as a PhD student at iMinds, where research centered on knowledge discovery and the use of ontologies in eHealth projects. Femke's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Master’s in Computer Sciences from Ghent University, complemented by intern roles at Televic and Delaware Consulting.
