Marwan Yusuf

Senior Researcher at imec

Marwan Yusuf is a Senior Researcher at imec since October 2023, collaborating with Ghent University's Image processing and Interpretation group to advance sensor fusion and active sensing for autonomous driving and industrial applications. Previously, Marwan served as a Data Scientist at Sensata Technologies, focusing on Battery Management Systems leveraging data analytics and machine learning. With experience as a Postdoctoral and PhD Researcher at Ghent University, Marwan specialized in vehicular communications and published numerous scientific papers. As a Communications System Engineer at ISTLINK, leadership skills were demonstrated by managing a team to develop telecommunications software. Early career roles include research assistant and teaching positions, along with military service as a Reserve Officer in the Egyptian Armed Forces. Academic credentials include a Research Doctorate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ghent University and a Master's in Electrical Engineering from Medipol University.
