Alon Shaiber

Alon Shaiber is an accomplished professional in the field of computational biology, currently serving as Associate Director and Computational Biology Team Lead at Immunai since March 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Genomics Data Scientist at Weill Cornell Medicine, where cancer genomics research was conducted in collaboration with the Imielinski Lab. Alon studied microbial gene categorization during a Ph.D. program at the University of Chicago, which also involved developing computational tools for metagenomic analysis. Previous positions include Product Manager at the Research and Development Unit of MAFAT, Class Commander in the Talpiot Program, R&D Team Leader at IAF, and an Artificial Intelligence Researcher at Elbit Systems. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Chicago.
