Rodrigo Ledesma-Amaro

Rodrigo Ledesma-Amaro, PhD, currently serves as Group Leader and Reader at Imperial College London, focusing on research in microbial biotechnology, synthetic biology, and metabolic engineering since August 2017. Prior to this role, Rodrigo worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at INRAE from October 2014 to July 2017, specializing in microbial strain engineering, and was a PhD candidate and researcher in systems metabolic engineering at Universidad de Salamanca from September 2010 to September 2014. Additional research experience includes visiting positions at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Chalmers University of Technology, and INRAE. Rodrigo holds a PhD in Metabolic Engineering from Universidad de Salamanca, along with advanced degrees in Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering from various esteemed institutions.
