Jay Mavoori has extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Jay started their career at Texas Instruments Inc in 1994, where they gained expertise in process integration and obtained 4 patents. Jay then joined Impinj in 2001 as a Senior Design/Device Engineer. Jay later became a Principal Engineer, contributing significantly to Impinj's IPO in 2016 through their work in silicon R&D and foundry management, resulting in 8 patents. Jay also pioneered the use of TCAD to save time and costs. Jay Mavoori worked as a Senior Research Scientist at NeuroVista from 2007 to 2012. In 2007, they also co-founded Neumio, a hardware startup aimed at commercializing a product of their academic research. Jay served as a Co-Founder and contributed to the development of an easy-to-use, miniature, low-power platform for autonomous neuroscience experiments. Furthermore, Jay Mavoori had a brief role as a Clipper Ocean Racer at Sailing in 2019.

Jay Mavoori attended the University of Washington, where they studied Electrical Engineering with a focus on Neuroscience. Jay completed their degree in 2006.
