T.J. Szafranski

Assistant Head of Technology Services at Indian Prairie Public Library

T.J. Szafranski has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2008, they worked as an English Tutor and Theme Grader at Bremen High School until February 2009. Following that, from August 2009 to January 2011, they worked as a Researcher and Writer at The Toilet Paper. In 2012, T.J. took on the role of an Archivist at the Black Metropolis Research Consortium until February 2013. From March 2013 onwards, they joined the Lake Villa District Library as a Virtual Services and Reference Librarian. Their most recent position is with the Indian Prairie Public Library, where they have been the Assistant Head of Technology Services since April 2016.

T.J. Szafranski pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric/Creative Writing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing it from 2004 to 2008. Following this, T.J. continued their education at Dominican University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Library and Information Science from 2011 to 2012.
