Doug Bowman

Doug Bowman has over 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry. Doug began their career in 1989 as a Biomedical Engineer at UMass Medical School, where they designed and developed hardware and software for microscopy-based, digital imaging systems. In 1996, they moved to Molecular Devices, where they held the role of Screening Systems Manager and Senior Application Engineer. Doug managed product development for high content screening (HCS) systems, customer service staff, and system integration, QC, and production in ISO compliant departments. In 2005, they joined Millennium Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientist II and Senior Manager. In 2013, they moved to Takeda Pharmaceuticals, taking on the role of Associate Scientific Fellow. In 2017, they joined Indica Labs as VP Pharma Services, responsible for the company's Pharma Services group, providing quantitative histopathology image analysis services. Doug also joined the Digital Pathology Association as a member of the Education Committee, and the Society of Biomolecular Imaging and Informatics (SBI2) as a Board Member.

Doug Bowman graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering.
