Thomas Bel is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in various analytical and leadership roles. Currently, Thomas serves as Co-Founder at INIT, a platform designed to connect young travellers for shared city experiences, and holds positions as Product Owner at ProRail and Specialist IT at REEF. Previously, Thomas worked as an Analyst at Hago Rail Services B.V. and as a Junior Advisor at Schinkelshoek & Verhoog. Early career experience includes roles as a Data & Operations Analyst at Stockon, and Analyst positions at Picnic supermarkets and HAU, where premium cocktail popsicles were developed. Thomas began the career at Varova Investments as a Junior Analyst and took on significant leadership roles in the B&R Beurs Erasmus Investment Society. Academically, Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Econometrics & Operations Research from Erasmus University Rotterdam and has a comprehensive education background including studies at Delft University of Technology and Junior College Utrecht.

INIT is the social app for travellers staying in hostels. It’s about connecting with like-minded people and sharing experiences. That’s why we teamed up with hostels that share our values and care about their guests’ travel experience. We envision INIT as a platform where anyone can easily initiate social activities and connect with others who share their interests.
