Julia Moran is a Policy Research Associate at Innocence Project. Moran has experience as an Investigator at NYC Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) and as an Intern at New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP). Moran also served as an Intern in the Department of External Affairs and Communication at NYC Department of Information Technology & Telecommunications, and as a Legislative Intern at Minnesota State Legislature. Moran holds a Master of Arts degree in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies from the University of Toronto.

The Innocence Project is a non-profit legal clinic affiliated with the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University and created by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld in 1992. The project is a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.
