Claudia Casarotto is IPA's Chief Global Programs Officer. Prior to her current role, Claudia served as Regional Director for West Africa, Interim Country Director for IPA Zambia and Uganda, and also oversaw IPA Kenya's administrative and research management teams as Deputy Country Director, working closely with the Country Director to develop new projects and strengthen partnerships and policy relations. Before assuming the role of Deputy Country Director in 2014, she gained seven years of experience across the Middle East and Southern and East Africa working with private sector organizations, UN agencies, and research institutes. Claudia has a PhD in Development Economics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, a MSc in International Economics from Pavia University, and a BSc in Economics from Bocconi University.
