Melanie Leclerc is an experienced researcher specializing in optical design, currently employed at INO since August 2004. Melanie has a robust background in the design of astronomical instruments and various optical assemblies for applications in biomedical, fiber optics, and industrial sectors. Prior roles include Principal Optical Engineer at the UK Astronomy Technology Centre, focusing on telescope components for infrared astronomical surveys, and Optical Design at EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering, where design and characterization of fiber optics testing equipment were key responsibilities. Melanie has also contributed to education as a Physics and Mathematics teacher and Optomechanics instructor. Academic qualifications include an M.Sc. in Physics with a focus on Optics and Lasers from Université Laval and a B.Sc. in Physics from Université de Sherbrooke.
