Thomas Hofstetter

Thomas Hofstetter has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Thomas started their career as a Laboratory Technician at Novartis from August 2011 to October 2015 and then again from August 2011 to August 2014. Thomas then served as a Sergeant in the Swiss Armed Forces from November 2015 to July 2016. Following this, they took a sabbatical for a world trip from August 2016 to June 2017. Thomas then worked as a Biomedical Research Technician at Xi'an Jiaotong University from July 2017 to February 2018. From June 2018 to April 2021, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at InSphero. Thomas then advanced to the position of Research Associate from April 2021 to July 2022 and currently holds the role of Senior Research Associate at InSphero starting from July 2022.

Thomas Hofstetter attended Allgemeine Berufsschule Zürich ABZ from 2019 to 2023, where they obtained an Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education as a Senior Scientific Laboratory Technician with a focus on Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2014, they attended aprentas and earned a Swiss Federal VET Diploma as a biological laboratory technician. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including HSK level 4 Chinese Proficiency Test from Hanban Confucius Institute in March 2021, Certificate in Advanced English (CEFR Level C2) from Cambridge Assessment English in February 2021, Python for Research from HarvardX in September 2020, Introduction to Programming Using Python from MITx on edX in August 2020, and SiBe Arbeitssicherheit und Gesundheitsschutz (safety representative; occupational health and safety) from Allgemeine Berufsschule Zürich ABZ in December 2019.
