Charlotte Barker is an accomplished leader in the design industry, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Designers in Ireland since September 2020. Under Charlotte's leadership, IDI has transformed into a prominent voice for commercial design in Ireland, achieving significant milestones such as stabilizing revenue and governance, modernizing strategic direction, and embedding design in government agendas. Prior to IDI, Charlotte held influential roles including Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Diversity Committee at the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland, Deputy Managing Director and Client Services Director at Dynamo, and Senior Account Manager/Team Leader at SAS Design, among others. Charlotte holds a Professional Certificate in Service Design from the National College of Art & Design and a BA (Hons) in Media Studies from Sheffield Hallam University.
