Ahmed Abdelsamea Khalifa

Ahmed Abdelsamea Khalifa is a lecturer at the Institute of Digital Games at the University of Malta since July 2021, with extensive experience as a game designer and developer since 2006. As a co-founder of Game Developers Front in Egypt (GDFE) since 2013, Khalifa has contributed significantly to the gaming industry. Previous roles include AI Engineer at modl.ai, where Khalifa worked on AI-based testing tools for video games, and research assistant at New York University, focusing on AI for games. Khalifa has also served as a teacher assistant at Cairo University's Computer Engineering Department and was the founder and CEO of Omidos Entertainment, along with brief positions in flash game development and software engineering. Khalifa holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from New York University, a Master’s Degree, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Cairo University.
