Arif Samad is a seasoned software engineering leader with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Software Engineering at Intel Corporation since August 2017, Arif oversees the development of RTL design and verification flows, utilizing machine learning for tool optimization. Prior to Intel, Arif held leadership positions at Synopsys Inc, starting as Group Director R&D (1998-2005) and later advancing to VP Engineering, where innovative testing products were developed. Arif's earlier roles include management positions at Systems Science, Viewlogic, and VLSI Technology, where significant contributions to design verification tools and ASIC solutions were made. Arif holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College.
