Dmitry Tyan has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Dmitry started their career as a Network Administrator for a contracting company in 2000 and transitioned into various roles such as Help Desk Support Lead and IT Projects & Operations Manager at OGK-2 until 2009. Dmitry then worked as an IT Manager responsible for the operation of remote sites at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd from 2009 to 2010. From 2011 to 2013, they served as an IT Security Officer at Canadian Direct Insurance. Currently, Dmitry is working at Interfor as an IT Project Manager and later moved up to the position of Chief Architect (IT) in 2017.
Dmitry Tyan, MBA, M.Sc. received their Master's degree in Design and Technology of Radioelectronic Equipment from Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 2003. In 2009, they obtained the PMP certification, followed by the ITIL v3 Foundation certification in 2010. In 2017, they obtained the TOGAF 9 Certified certification. Currently, Dmitry is pursuing an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Furthermore, they will also participate in the ICD-Rotman Governance Essentials Program (GEP) at the Institute of Corporate Directors for a brief duration in 2023.
