Rachel Lee, MPH, RD, LDN, IBCLC, currently serves as the Project Manager for Diabetes & Health Equity at QARI and functions as a Registered Dietitian and Lactation Consultant at Ovia Health. Holding the position of IBCLC Commissioner with the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® since October 2022, Rachel has also worked as a Nutrition Research Supervisor at Mathematica and as a Graduate Research Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Additional experience includes roles such as Graduate Program Evaluator Consultant at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Research Assistant at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. IBLCE, or the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, is the independent international certification body conferring the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®) certification. IBLCE offers the premier credential in lactation and breastfeeding worldwide. Truly an international certification, there are currently over 28,000 certificants in 105 countries. What is an IBCLC? IBLCE certificants provide lactation and breastfeeding support to mothers and families. They function and contribute as members of the maternal-child health team. They provide care in a variety of settings, while making appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community support resources.
