Ana Corbacho

Mission Chief For Brazil at International Monetary Fund

Ana Corbacho has extensive experience in international finance and economic advisory roles, currently serving as the Mission Chief for Brazil at the International Monetary Fund since August 2013. Prior positions at the IMF include Division Chief for Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Venezuela, as well as Chief of Strategy Unit and Mission Chief roles for several countries including Thailand and Peru. Before joining the IMF, Ana Corbacho worked as the Principal Economics Advisor of the Institutions Sector at the Inter-American Development Bank from August 2010 to July 2013, and as Deputy Division Chief of Regional Studies in the Western Hemisphere at the IMF from July 2008 to August 2010. Ana Corbacho holds a Ph.D. in Economics with distinction from Columbia University and a summa cum laude Bachelor of Science in Economics from Universidad de 'San Andrés'.
