Peter Kunzel

Peter Kunzel has over 25 years of experience in economics and public affairs, currently serving as the Head of Global Partnerships at the International Monetary Fund since February 2006, where responsibilities include leading global fundraising and donor relations. Previous roles at the IMF include Head of Internal Communications, Deputy Head of Public Affairs, and Senior Economist in both the European Department and Monetary and Capital Markets. Prior to their current tenure, Peter Kunzel gained experience as an Economist at the European Investment Bank and the Institute of International Finance, focusing on risk evaluation and country-risk analysis in emerging markets. Early career experience also includes serving as a Board Officer at the IMF. Peter Kunzel holds an M.A., M.Phil, and PhD in Economics from The George Washington University.
