Erik MacLennan has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Erik worked as a Senior Hardware Test Engineer at iota Biosciences, Inc. powered by Astellas starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they were an Instrumentation Engineer at Precision NanoSystems Inc. from January 2020 to March 2023. Erik also worked as a Full Stack Engineer at The University of British Columbia from May 2019 to January 2020. Additionally, they gained experience as a Drive Systems Engineering Intern at Tesla from May 2018 to August 2018. Furthermore, they worked as a Thermal Heads Engineering Co-op at Eastman Kodak Company from May 2017 to December 2017, where they developed software and implemented test procedures for quality control. Erik also worked as a Recoil Mass Spectrometer Researcher at TRIUMF from January 2016 to April 2016, where they assisted in the assembly and alignment of sensitive components and performed magnetic field measurements.
Erik MacLennan pursued their education at The University of British Columbia from 2014 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Engineering Physics. In addition to their degree, Erik also earned a certification as a Certified SolidWorks Professional from DS SolidWorks Corporation in July 2017.
