Chris Herbst has extensive work experience in the field of corporate IT and finance. Chris started their career in 2008 as the Corporate Director of IT at Metal Matic Inc., where they worked until 2017. In January 2017, Chris joined IP Corporation as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Chris later took on the role of Chief Financial Officer at IP Corporation in May 2020, before leaving the company in November 2021.
Chris Herbst holds a Master's of Science degree in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the same institution. In addition, Chris has obtained certifications such as the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTBME), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
