Martin Tornberg

Council Member - Nordics at IPFA

Martin Tornberg is the Head of Private Markets and Financial Sponsors for EMEA at Control Risks, a position held since November 2022. Tornberg also serves as a Council member for the Nordics at the International Project Finance Association (IPFA) from October 2023. With extensive experience in cross-border strategic investments, Tornberg previously led overseas strategic investments and managed a global direct private equity portfolio at Ping An from 2007 to 2022. Earlier roles include Deputy CEO of Ping An Securities Company in Hong Kong, Director of Strategic Business Development and Investments at the Asian Development Bank, and Associate at Merrill Lynch. Martin Tornberg earned an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics and obtained a FinTech certificate from INSEAD in 2022, among other educational credentials.
