Ruijiang Ma has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2013, they worked in the corporate M&A team at Agnico Eagle Mines Limited, where they were involved in a key transaction worth C$3.9bn ($3.5bn). In 2014, they transitioned to BMO Capital Markets as an Investment Banking Analyst. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as an Investment Analyst at CBRE Investment Management. In 2017, Ruijiang Ma founded a short-term vacation rental business called ADAD Corp, which they successfully grew and exited in April 2020, achieving a 2.5x MOIC return. In 2018, they joined IP Group plc as an Associate and later became a Vice President in September 2021. Additionally, Ruijiang Ma has experience in venture and angel investing as a private investor, backing companies like Featurespace and Oxa. Ruijiang Ma holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance & Economics from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management. In addition, they have completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Ruijiang Ma has also obtained a Canadian Securities Course Certificate from the Canadian Securities Institute and has passed both levels 1 and 2 of the CFA exams on their first attempt.
