Ipswich Town FC
Ipswich Town Football Club, founded in 1878, boasts the most successful history of any club in eastern England. Most notably, the Club has won three major trophies (English Division 1 Title in 1962, FA Cup in 1978, UEFA Cup in 1981) under the guidance of managers Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson. The stadium at Portman Road welcomes our loyal fan base each match day, as well as playing host to an array of other events and initiatives throughout the year. The Club is a seven-day-a-week venue, offering match day hospitality along with the use of the facilities on non-match days for conferencing and events. Activities and opportunities are diverse, ranging from advertising and sponsorship through to the various commercial events hosted including golf days, dinners and concerts. Then of course there's retail, with our ever-popular Planet Blue store. Ipswich Town is also renowned for its Academy (based at Playford Road), where future first team players are nurtured, as well as a flourishing Women’s Programme. The official Club lottery schemes generate funds for the Academy and youth player development, too. The ITFC Community Trust works to further strengthen the Club’s relationship with the communities that it serves.
