Andy Gilbert

Andy Gilbert is a knowledgeable machine learning professional with extensive experience in the healthcare technology sector. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at iRhythm Technologies, Inc., since October 2022, Andy focuses on AI applications for cardiac arrhythmia detection. Previously, at GE Healthcare from May 2018 to July 2022, Andy contributed as a Machine Learning Engineer, specializing in deep learning algorithms for cardiovascular ultrasound, and as an Early Stage Researcher on the Personalized In-silico Cardiology (PIC) project. Additional experience includes roles as CTO and Co-Founder at TRVISE, Research Assistant positions in neuromorphic engineering and biomedical applications, and internships at L-3 Communications. Andy holds a PhD in Informatics from the University of Oslo, a Master’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s from the University of Utah.
