Eileen Rees OBE serves as the Editor in Chief for Wildfowl Press since 2021 and has held the position of Chair for the IUCN-SSC Swan Specialist Group since 2014. Eileen also contributes as a Research Visitor at the University of Cambridge from April 2021 to March 2025, and functions as Coordinator for the Bewick's Swan Expert Group until 2024. Previously, Eileen was affiliated with the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust from 1977 to 2021, where significant roles included Editor in Chief, Head of UK Waterbird Conservation, and Senior Research Officer, focusing on migratory swan and goose population studies. Eileen initiated various research projects on swan behavior and population dynamics and began involvement as a Research Assistant for the Bewick's Swan study. Eileen was an Associate Member of the Peer Review College at NERC from 2008 to 2011 and served as Chair for Wetlands International/IUCN-SSC Swan Specialist Group from 1995 to 2001. Eileen holds a PhD in Zoology from the University of Bristol and a BSc in Combined Sciences from the University of Leicester.
