Tima Bansal

Tima Bansal is a distinguished Professor at Ivey Business School at Western University since May 1999 and serves as the Founder and Lab Leader of Innovation North, Powered by Ivey since October 2019. Bansal holds the position of Board Chair for the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) since July 2023 and chairs the Impact Committee at Shift4Good from January 2022. Additionally, Bansal has been a Forbes Columnist since April 2021 and the Founder of the Network for Business Sustainability since 2007. Past roles include Board Member at the Academy of Management from August 2020 to July 2023 and Chair of the Expert Panel for the Circular Economy at the Council of Canadian Academies from May 2020 to October 2021. Bansal was also the Deputy Editor of the Academy of Management Journal from 2016 to 2019. Educational accomplishments include an MPhil and DPhil in Management Studies from the University of Oxford, a Master of Arts in Economics from Western University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics from the University of Calgary.
