Michael Zuba

VP of Production at Jackbox Games

Michael Zuba has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Michael started their career as a GSM Engineer at Motorola, where they worked on developing the next generation Motorola RAZR and coordinated hardware and software releases for different teams. Michael then became an Embedded Software Engineer at Woodward MPC, leading the software development of a motor actuation system for the NASA SOFIA project. Following this, Michael served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Squad Leader, where they supervised up to 14 Marines and participated in numerous patrol missions in Iraq. After completing their military service, Michael joined Miny Fish Inc. as a Software Engineer/Game Designer, leading the development of a Flash-based Facebook game called Coral Kingdom. In this role, they designed and implemented game features and software libraries, focusing on efficiency and extensibility. Most recently, Michael has been working at Jackbox Games as the VP of Production. There, they have led engineering efforts on multiple game titles for various platforms and contributed to all stages of game development, from brainstorming and prototyping to testing and production.

Michael Zuba attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including the Certified Agile Leadership Essentials (CAL-E), Certified Agile Leadership for Orgs (CAL-O), Certified Agile Leadership for Teams (CAL-T), and Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®). Michael obtained the CSPO® certification in December 2020, and the CAL-E, CAL-O, and CAL-T certifications in May 2022, all from the Scrum Alliance.
