Jan Leijten

Jan Leijten currently serves as the Category Buyer Raw Materials & Energy at Cloetta since May 2020, overseeing the procurement of ingredients such as cocoa, chocolate, sugar blends, emulsifiers, and fruit, in addition to managing energy purchases for all Cloetta factories. Prior experience includes roles as a Procurement Specialist Indirect at AevesBenefit and various strategic purchasing positions for organizations such as Essent and the Ministry of Defense. Jan began a career in procurement with a purchase assistant role at Cloetta and has also completed internships in procurement and facility management at companies including Lekkerland Nederland B.V. and Perfetti Van Melle. Jan's academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate & Facility Management from Breda University of Applied Sciences, complemented by additional education from Nevi and HAS green academy.
