Christopher Brooks

Christopher Brooks currently serves as the Director of Athletics Communications at James Madison University, where employment began in July 2014, progressing from Assistant Director to Associate Director before achieving the director title. Brooks has extensive experience in athletics communications, overseeing coverage of 18 Division I sports and acting as the primary communications contact for football and men’s and women’s tennis. Prior roles include Assistant Athletic Director for Operations and Media Relations at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and an Athletics Communications Assistant at James Madison University. Brooks also has experience as a Communications Intern for the Colonial Athletic Association and a Production Intern for Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic. Christopher Brooks holds a BA in Communication with a concentration in Journalism from George Mason University.
