Innovation Center For Youth Justice Liaison at James Madison University

JJ Messier, MSW, currently serves as the Innovation Center for Youth Justice Liaison at James Madison University and as a staff consultant for the RFK National Resource Center for Juvenile Justice. Additionally, since September 2015, JJ has been an advocate for CASA of DuPage County, working with youth in the foster care system to prepare unbiased court reports that prioritize their best interests. JJ holds a Master of Social Work degree in Leadership and Social Change from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to be completed in May 2024, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Northern Colorado, obtained in May 2004.
