Michelle Cude

Michelle Cude is a Professor of Social Studies Education at James Madison University, where responsibilities include training future teachers to cultivate globally-aware and critically-thinking active citizens. Prior to this role, Michelle served as Program Manager and Character Interpreter at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, developing a children's historical interpreter program that engaged local residents in immersive historical experiences. Michelle holds a Bachelor's degree with Honors in History from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master's degree in American Studies from William and Mary University, and a Ph.D. in Teacher Education and Professional Development from the University of Virginia Curry School of Education.
