Henry Tao

Henry Tao currently serves as the Category Director at JD.COM, overseeing food categories for the cross-border e-commerce channel since March 2024. Prior to this role, Henry held the position of Category Management & National Accounts at Korea Foods from September 2023 to March 2024 and was the Head of Brands-direct at Xingsheng Youxuan, a prominent community-group-buying e-commerce retailer, from July 2022 to July 2023. Henry's extensive experience includes leadership roles at Suning, where responsibilities ranged from Product & Merchant Operations Director to Deputy GM of International Trade & Operations over a span of four years. Henry has previous experience with Walmart, focusing on cost analysis, and significant tenure at Tesco Stores Ltd in various buying and operational positions. Early career endeavors include co-founding Electric Vision Ltd., specializing in PR and marketing, and working as a News Editor at Hunan TV. Henry holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Stirling and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting from Zhejiang University of Media and Communications.
