Fang Xu has a diverse work experience in design, with a focus on product and user experience design. They started their career as a Design Intern at Groundworks Office in 2019 and later gained experience as a Design Intern at PWP Landscape Architecture in early 2020. They then transitioned to a role as a Landscape Designer at Design Workshop in November 2020, where they were responsible for various aspects of landscape project design. In April 2022, Fang Xu joined Beecoming as a UX/Product Designer, where they acted as the design lead and were involved in analyzing competitors, proposing new product features, and owning the design process. Currently, Fang Xu is working at J.D. Power as a Product Designer, starting in September 2022.
Fang Xu completed a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from Southwest Jiaotong University from 2013 to 2018. In 2017, Fang Xu participated in a summer program with a full scholarship at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, focusing on Landscape Architecture. Fang Xu then pursued further education at the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) degree from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, Fang Xu earned a Certificate in New Media (HCI) from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019-2020.
