Vincent Franckart has extensive experience in the legal field, starting in 1995 as a Legal Counsel at Fortisbank. Vincent then moved on to ArcelorMittal in 2000, where they held various roles including Senior Legal Counsel, General Counsel, Head of Compliance Europe, and Head of Legal, Tax, Insurance & Compliance for the Liège Steel Industry. In 2019, they joined LIBERTY Steel Group as the Head of Legal, Tax, Insurance & Compliance, and later became the General Counsel of the Downstream Division. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Head of Legal at John Cockerill.

Vincent Franckart completed their Bachelor's degree in Legal studies from the University of Liège in 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in European Law from the Universidad de Cantabria, which they completed in 1995.
