Aleks Zivanovic

Aleks Zivanovic is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in investment law and restructuring, currently serving as Managing Director and Associate Chief Counsel for Investment Transactions at John Hancock since October 2010. Previous roles at John Hancock include Managing Director and Assistant Chief Counsel in Investment Law, and Managing Director & Senior Counsel for North American Investment Law. Throughout this tenure, Aleks Zivanovic has advised investment professionals on legal aspects of various investment transactions, managed outside counsel for bankruptcy proceedings, and negotiated derivatives documentation. Prior to John Hancock, Aleks Zivanovic worked as a Corporate/Restructuring Associate at Ropes & Gray LLP, contributing to M&A due diligence and assisting with business restructuring. Aleks Zivanovic holds an MBA-BCL-LLB from McGill University and a B.Comm in Marketing from Concordia University.
