Lucia Liu

Lucia (Jianyuan) Liu is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as Director and Lead Data Scientist at John Hancock since September 2017, Lucia has progressed through various roles including Manager and Associate Data Scientist, contributing significantly to the U.S. Global Wealth Management Advanced Analytics team. Prior to John Hancock, Lucia gained experience as a Data Analytics Consultant at Amtrak, focusing on customer satisfaction impacts, and as a Research Analyst at CMU Auton Lab. Earlier career experiences include a Business Analyst Internship at Waxman Consumer Products, where inventory management and product planning were key responsibilities. Lucia holds a Master's Degree in Information Systems and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's Degree with Highest Distinction from the University of Macau, complemented by studies at the University of Michigan.
