Shivam Kalhan

Shivam Kalhan is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at The Johns Hopkins University since October 2023, following a PhD in Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience from the University of Melbourne (August 2019 - March 2023). Previous research experiences include a Research Assistant role at The University of Queensland, where improvements to the breaking flash suppression task were made for 7T fMRI studies, and at The University of Auckland, where an eye-tracking study was designed and implemented. Shivam also conducted behavioral tasks and analyzed electrophysiological data during time at the University of Otago as a BSc Honors Research Student. In addition to research, Shivam has held leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer of Chiasma Dunedin and President of multiple student organizations, fostering connections between science students and the industry. Early career experiences include tutoring and coaching in science, mathematics, and tennis.
