Jordan River Foundation
Who we are: Established in 1995, Jordan River Foundation (JRF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO), chaired by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah. Driven by values of social justice, impactful interventions to alleviate poverty, and empowering the community with a focus on women and youth, JRF implements various programs to achieve its mission of transforming Jordanian communities. JRF has been a major player in Jordanian community development, bringing forth over 20 years of experience to local community development, and supporting homegrown solutions that engage communities and address local challenges, but most importantly placing the wellbeing of children center-stage. Our programs and mission: It is through implementing its programs that JRF realizes its mission of empowering communities and promoting child safety and protection. The holistic approach used in JRF programs is unmatched in the country, and even the region, where using services like case management allows for effective intervention. Whether it’s supporting entrepreneurship or helping families maintain their unity, JRF makes every step count. The Foundation has two main programs and a multitude of services, initiatives, and community centers that carry its mission to empower communities and promote family and child safety. Program beneficiaries here are the biggest testament to JRF’s impact; JRF initiatives have succeeded in creating sustainable livelihoods for individuals and communities, as well as in creating healthier families.
