Aaron McEwin joined Jordan & Skala Engineers in 2005 as a Mechanical Co-op, where his interest in mechanical engineering and passion for sustainable design led to the development of our Sustainability Department. Now as Principal and Director of Sustainability, Aaron streamlines sustainable design into our existing MEP procedures and educates our team and clients on code updates and green building programs across our industry. Aaron holds multiple certifications including, LEED Accredited Professional, National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Verifier, and Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP), giving him the knowledge and expertise to design in accordance with sustainable standards and needs. He has completed notable projects including the energy model for the Veteran Affairs Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the LEED energy modeling and MEP credits for Sterling Collwood, a San Diego student housing development that utilizes renewable energy systems. Aaron’s drive to be of service to others in the industry has led him to be a prominent contributor to code developments with the City of Dallas, the North Texas Council of Governments, and the Home Innovations National Green Building Standard. With his continuous emphasis on education, Aaron is a valuable leader to our firm.
