Sam Akabas is the Co-Founder of Journey, a company that owns and operates skilled nursing facilities and seniors housing communities. Prior to this, Sam served as the Chief Executive Officer of Akabas Properties, LLC, specializing in real estate development and acquisitions in various sectors. With a background in real estate and healthcare, Sam has held positions such as Vice President at Senior Care Development, LLC, and Assistant Vice President at RED CAPITAL GROUP. Sam's experience also includes roles at Hunt Companies, Inc, Contemporary Healthcare Capital, LLC, and United Realty Advisors. Sam holds a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Cornell University, as well as an M.S. from Columbia University.
