Mychal Shaw is the Founder and CEO of Uwazi.Ai, leading strategy, product vision, and partnerships for a civic tech platform aimed at enhancing voter literacy and community participation since March 2025. Additionally, Mychal serves as a Board Member for the Kansas City AI Club and as Co-Founder and Partner at Culture Club, focusing on marketing strategies for nightlife and corporate events. Previous experience includes serving as Creative Director at Trndsttrs, where Mychal developed social creative strategies for Fortune 500 brands, and as a Political Marketing Consultant at MSM Media & Marketing, providing strategic planning and marketing services. Mychal's early career included roles at AT&T as a B2B sales consultant and as a Sales Leader at Dick's Sporting Goods Open. Mychal holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Northeastern Illinois University.

Whether you’re a pro or just starting to learn about artificial intelligence (AI), the Kansas City AI Club is the perfect place to meet like-minded people and explore this new and exciting field. Our goal is to create a vibrant community of AI enthusiasts, students, and professionals who want to share knowledge and ideas, collaborate, and stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in this emerging industry. We’ll be hosting regular meetups, workshops, and speaker events covering topics such as AI-powered marketing, AI-driven art, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), quantum computing and more. These events provide the opportunity to meet and learn directly from those at the forefront of AI research and development in the Kansas City area.
